The First Time To The Circus And More

Father's Day weekend we went outside for a little bit because it finally stopped raining. It was a good Father's Day. Ryan got Jeff a Boston Red Sox hat like his. Since, Jeff's hat was eaten by Scrappy.
On Monday, we Grampy and Grammy brought us to the Cole Brother's Circus. Ryan first time to the circus. We were not sure if he was going to make a run for it or just sit. Well, he sat until intermission. He loved it! He didn't take his eyes off the show for a moment. Future Drummer. Ryan has been doing this for a while, but I just got him on camera. He takes my fork and his own, turns over his bowl and drums.

Testing out his new lawn chair. Coloring it with sidewalk chalk.

This is when we first got to the circus. Ryan wasn't sure what to make of it.

Mama and Ryan at the circus. When the show started Ryan didn't blink. He was very intrigued.

This was the look on his face the whole time we were there.

It was very dark in the tent. But this was the tight rope walkers.

The elephants were his favorite part of the show. For the next couple of days all Ryan would say "Big Elephant" and make the elephant noise.

We only stayed until intermission. Ryan started getting wiggly. Here we are enjoying some cotton candy.

The library and more

On Saturday we went with our friends Jonathan, his mother Laurie and his grandmother Denise to a puppet show at the Taunton Library. Ryan actually sat and watched the puppet show. But when it was over and we went into the children's room of the library he was all over. Of course, there were kids books and toys to play with, that is good reason to run all over.
Saturday night Jeff and I went out to dinner for our five year anniversary. My mom came over to watch Ryan and Scrappy while we were gone.

On Sunday, it was Flag Day. We wore our red, white and blue to celebrate.

Lastly, yesterday Ryan and I visited my work(when I wasn't working). I work at an elementary school in Brockton. My teacher friend was bring her class to Dairy Queen ice cream for a mini field trap. It is only located around the corner from the school. We met up with the class at the school and we walked to DQ. After we ate the ice cream we ran off the calorie on the playground back at my school. He didn't want to leave but I had to bring him to my parents so, I could go back to work (to actually work). Jonathon and Ryan. Hey, what are you reading?
Let me climb over and read that with you.

Denise reading to the boys.

While Jeff and I were at dinner. Ryan was sitting on his Elmo chair getting a tan. He was "HOT"!
Scrappy was hot too.

Too hot for clothes. I'll just wear my fireman's hat.

AHHHH!

Happy Flag Day!

Fun in the sun

On Saturday this past weekend, my little guy got some new shades. He put them on and was looking around. I don't think he could figure out why everything looked so different with the sunglasses on. Then after a nap it was warm out, that meant it was time to bring Elmo sprinkler back out for the season.
On Sunday, we went to a BBQ Birthday party for friends. Within the last month Ryan has been playing with kids a lot more then he used to. Before, he would play beside them. Now he is playing with them. Hey, these glasses make everything darker.
Wow, look at the floor

I'm cool!

When Jeff and I are at work, Ryan goes to my parents house to play. Ryan calls her Gammy and Gampy. Sometimes my mom will text me pictures while I'm at work. Here are some random pictures from my cell phone over the last year and a half.

First Baseball game and Petting Farm

On Saturday May 30, we took Ryan to his first baseball game. It is a minor league team called the Brockton Rox out of Brockton, MA. We figure, we would start him off here before we try taking him to a pro game. Sure enough Ryan sat for about 15 minutes then wanted to go exploring. Lucky for us, it isn't a big stadium and it was getting close to bed time(8pm). When we got to the game there was a fire engine there. I guess it was fire safety night or something like that. We checked out the fire engine before going into the game. My uncle happens to be a fire man and was there. Ryan liked to look at the fire engine but didn't want to ride it. Maybe when he is older.

On Sunday, we went to our first Petting Farm. It is only about five minutes up the road from where we live. We have lived here for six years and never knew it was there. Jeff passed a sign for it on his way home from work. Ryan had a ball! He got to pet chickens, a donkey and a rabbit. We saw horses, sheep, a pig, roosters, a peacock and more up close and personal. We will have to go again.
